"Fans of Folk Music Should Give This Song a Listen" Music Industry News Network Review of Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven

Song Review: “Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven” By Blind Uncle Harry MUSIC INDUSTRY NEWS NETWORK

April 9 - Blind Uncle Harry has released the song “Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven”, which appears on their album, “The Gospel According to Blind Uncle Harry”. Fans of folk music should give this song a listen.

Instead of launching right into the chorus, the song starts with the lead vocalist saying “The chorus goes like this.” Said chorus is a banjo-driven, lyric-heavy offering between himself and a female background harmony. The first verse starts off similarly, with the lead vocalist saying “Alrighty, rest of the song goes like this.” The general message of the song is to paint a picture of the place in which they grew up, which should give the listener a taste of their lifestyle. This is demonstrated best through lyrics such as “Here in Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven/Don’t you know that I fit in oh so well.”

The video for “Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven” captures the mood of the song, in that it shows the band playing the song in different places where one would expect them to be based on the lyrics of the song. Between the song and the video, the listener/viewer should be able to understand who Blind Uncle Harry is and what their style of music is.
