Hey thanks everyone who came out to Blunderbuss for the 4th/ 5th of July festivities. Been awhile since I played Song For The Revolution live, and throughly enjoyed playing it and American Way, both with the lovely Marina Stant on violin. I just highlighted the appalling crapfest that is Independence Day (establishing native genocide and slavery as our steadfast national foundations) in my last post and related it to Song for the Revolution. I think American Way also sums it up pretty well: 'well you learn, you learn, you learn early on/ this life is hard like a long slow burn/ by the time by the time that you realize/ that it's all, it's all one enormous lie/ it's too late, it's too late, it's become your life- living a lie it's the price you pay/ don't you worry baby it's just the american way
