Of course, someone called Blind Uncle is a fearless musician! Just two months ago, we rated a song by him called “Christmas Day In Australia” that I think is refreshingly hillbilly-Esque. Blind Uncle’s latest single, “Dopesmokers of the World Unite and Take Over,” will make stoners feel empowered (How great is Blind Uncle?).
“Dopesmokers of the World Unite and Take Over” is easily one of the funniest songs that I’ve heard this year. In it, Blind Uncle (And a few of his weed-smoking buddies) talk about the impact that stoners would have on politics, world peace, the stock market, and more if they ran the world. As expected, the song features easygoing vocal performances, a rascally instrumental (Uncle Blind does some major work with a ukelele), and melodies that you can get easily get lost in.
