BLIND UNCLE HARRY CHANGES EVERYTHING WITH ‘VISUALIZE INDUSTRIAL COLLAPSE’

11/18/22 Indiana’s own Blind Uncle Harry, a.k.a. Chris Doran, gives listeners a huge blast of his iconoclastic avant/Americana/conspiracy/folk brilliance on his new album Visualize Industrial Collapse.

The record comes out November 18th, 2022 and, if you’re not hip to Harry yet, it just might blow you away. Visualize Industrial Collapse is the work of an outsider artist with a chip on his shoulder, a guitar in his hand, and the truth on his mind. He’s a tuneful and inventive folk/rock songwriter with a plain-spoken, minimal style that blends vintage American musical ideas with Doran’s dystopian worldview and relevant, modern-day wisdom. Imagine a 21st Century Woody Guthrie with an even bigger ax to grind and you’ll start to understand what’s going on here. He’s a more dangerous Bob Dylan equally comfy with satire and bleakness.

Blind Uncle Harry records his songs in a live, lo-fi way that doesn’t give a hoot about perfection, convention, or how other people make music. His sound is anchored in the singer-songwriter tradition but he leans hard into his own idiosyncrasies that vibe a lot more like Tom Waits than Ed Sheeran. His uniqueness has attracted a large internet following, however, which proves his emphasis on charisma and message is dead-on target.

The material on the new set ranges in tone from silly to serious. “Dopesmokers Of The World Unite And Take Over” is a lighthearted singalong with a live audience that’s entertaining and engaging. It’s a good place to enter the Blind Uncle Harry zone.

“I Just Want You To Know” is a statement of politics that decries “the long, slow death of a beautiful nation.” The song’s speaker wants us to know that he didn’t participate in the national demise that he feels began with the death of John Lennon. It’s a powerful song with a subtext of helplessness. He didn’t participate but all these things happened, anyway.

Equally strong is the anarcho/folk/rock anthem “Burn Down The High School.” It’s every disaffected kid’s dream come true, right? In Blind Uncle Harry’s hands, a little spare gasoline means no more jocks or midterms to worry about. Some sweet female background vocals smooth it out a bit but can’t obscure the tune’s delightfully subversive intent.

Other highlights on Visualize Industrial Collapse include “American Way,” “My Daddy Died When I Was Nine Years Old,” and “You Said.” Blind Uncle Harry is as real as it gets and a whole lot more people need to hear these songs. Think music can’t change the world? Think again.

**TRANSLATION VIA GOOGLE**
30/10/22 Blind Uncle Harry is undoubtedly one of the best songwriters in the current indie market. First gaining a foothold in Germany two years ago with the cheerful intermezzo The Gospel according to Blind Uncle Harry, the artist is now back with his new work Visualize Industrial Collapse, which is due to see the light of day at the end of November. Already convinced a few months ago with the above embedded video Burn Down The Highschool, the accompanying album is now seeing the light of day.

With Visualize Industrial Collapse, Blind Uncle Harry is expanding his discography with another album that, despite all its musical seriousness, doesn't take itself too seriously in terms of content, which the already released single Burn Down The Highschool wonderfully proves. Known as Chris "Harry" Doran, the critically acclaimed artist is native of Bloomington Indiana. With a total of twelve titles, Blind Uncle Harry once again proves what he's capable of and proves with musical sophistry and compositional talent that he is an inveterate musician whose abilities always have high standards. The songs are catchy and not only stand out for their musical skills, but also for the fact that they were produced technically flawlessly. As a master of satire, Blind Uncle Harry often writes songs that don't take themselves too seriously, but even if these are to be understood with a clear wink, there is also a core of truth to Blind Uncle Harry's music.

Friends of handmade acoustic art should definitely listen to Visualize Industrial Collapse on 11/18/2022. Here is a master at work

Conclusion 10 out of 10: This is still music, honest and handmade!

Visualize Industrial Collapse – Blind Uncle Harry (reviewed by Dave Franklin)

If you think that most people mellow as they get older, you haven’t much time around Blind Uncle Harry. Just check out the titles of his latest album; they tell you everything you need to know. “Dopesmokers Of The World Unite And Take Over” or “Burn Down The High School” are not indicators that Harry is happy with the state of the world today. Then again, who is?

But he writes songs that are so fun, wonderfully raggedy, satirical, and occasionally silly that you can’t help but side with these stoner anthems and his gentle rabble-rousing and middle-finger attitudes towards the powers that be.

But, like any joke, there is always an element of truth to be found. Here, some serious subjects hinted out in his ragged-arsed folk and under-the-counter culture crusades. Why is smoking dope such a controversial issue? What is the actual point of education when the system is about brainwashing rather than enlightenment? What is the government really up to behind the scenes?

He might not give many answers, but he does raise some important questions. Maybe that is exactly what we need right now.

11/4/22 BLIND UNCLE HARRY Presents New Album 'Visualize Industrial Collapse'

What are the chances a guy who records a pro-pot song called “Dope Smokers” also sounds like a marijuana user? It shouldn’t come as any great shock that Blind Uncle Harry performs this song of the same name where he gives the immediate impression he’s stoned while performing it on his Visualize Industrial Collapse album. Yep, one can only surmise that the man practices – and likely practices a lot – what he preaches.

But no, his album is not comprised of twelve ‘legalize it’ anthems. However, whether he’s doing this one or any other, Blind Uncle Harry never sounds like he’s feeling any pain. Let’s just put it that way.

As the album’s title suggests, Blind Uncle Harry shares an anti-establishment perspective with some other early pot popularizers, the hippies. For instance, three songs in, BUH expresses criticism of the uptight American way of life with “American Way.” It’s as though the days of peace, love and freedom never completely died. In his world, the battle to bring down American conservative values is still going on. It is, of course, but Harry is fighting it the way Woodstock attendees engaged with traditional morals, rather than the more contemporary woke social warriors of today.

This performer also shares some musical values with his hippie forefathers. Like them, Harry enjoys incorporating country, bluegrass and folk musical elements into his sound. He warbles his way through these songs and doesn’t sing like a typical Americana artist. Instead, he sings more like a rock artist, albeit over a mostly acoustic instrumental base.

The artist’s real name is Chris Doran, and is from Bloomington, Indiana. His website describes his style as an “avant-garde approach to recording” “Americana and folk-rock music,” which is an accurate way to frame his songs. Many of these tracks also feature a pretty female singer, and her lovely vocals add contrast to Harry’s more lo-fi, gruff approach. For instance, she sings the sweet “Fly Away,” which is a vocal showcase where she’s also accompanied by empathetic fiddle.

Not everything here can be categorized as protest music, however. One titled “Song For Kori,” for example, is Harry singing a gentle, heartfelt character study over nothing more than a finger-picked acoustic guitar. It’s a fine example of Harry’s range, as it finds him writing and performing in a far more reflective way.

Nevertheless, the album’s title, Visualize Industrial Collapse, sums up Harry’s philosophy well. The hippy aim was, in many respects, to imagine world peace. To picture a world without racism, hate and war. Harry takes this perspective one step further, though, by expanding this simple slogan to include an ending to the whole capitalistic economic system in the western world.

Another one, “Jesus Is Coming,” is a gospel-ish number of an entirely unique variety. It’s not clear from other tracks that Harry is any sort of Jesus freak. For instance, he doesn’t sing other Biblically inspired songs on the album. Nevertheless, Harry sings a song about the Christian theology of the rapture, which posits how Jesus will rapture His church during the end times. It’s sung with a choir of singers, and also includes a trumpet part running all the way through it. Then again, the Jesus People movement took place during the late ‘60s/early ‘70s and was driven by a bunch of Jesus-loving hippies. Therefore, it fits his artistic profile in that respect.

Blind Uncle Harry comes off as a lovable oddball, and if he’s promoting the destruction of society as we know it, it’s very much one gentle revolution.

12/12/22 Blind Uncle Harry – Visualize Industrial Collapse

We first heard from Blind Uncle Harry in November of last year upon the release of his single “Christmas Day in Australia ”. That track introduced readers of The Static Dive singer, songwriter, guitarist and storyteller to Chris ‘Harry’ Doran. For the better part of a decade he has been touring the world with his unique brand of protest comedy folk songs.

The songman made his international recording debut in 2020 with the album The Gospel According to Uncle Harry. The album featured Blind Uncle Harry classics like “Uh Oh (Sounds Like Somebody Pissed Off Jesus)”. With a sound that lands somewhere between Violent Femmes and Billy Bragg, Doran describes his music as, “hillbilly hippie shreddin’ folk rock.”

Visualize Industrial Collapse is the brand new album from Blind Uncle Harry, released worldwide via all major streaming services on November 18, 2022. Like its predecessor, the 12-song collection features a mix of fan favorites and brand new songs. Chris serves-up tales of corporate greed, lost souls and societal decline in his own unique coffeehouse meets college-rock style.

The record opens on Blind Uncle Harry’s yuletide tale of excess and disillusionment down under, “Christmas Day in Australia”. The wonderfully messy “Dopesmokers of the World Unite and Take Over” follows with a subtle nod to The Smiths. The song has fun with its lo-fi setting and 420 theme, peppered with bits of stoner wisdom like, “everybody needs to chill the fuck out”.

On “American Way” Blind Uncle Harry offers a deceptively upbeat and lyrically scathing critique of capitalism featuring some tasty lead acoustic guitar. The socio-economic observations continue on tracks like “I Just Want You to Know” on which Doran sings of “mindless consumption and endless competition”. “Burn Down the High School ” is the album’s current single and video. The song is a tongue-in-cheek antisocial rebellion anthem featuring one of the album’s few electric guitar solos.

Blind Uncle Harry flies solo on melancholy indie-folk songs like “My Daddy Died When I Was 9 Years-Old” and “Song for Kori”, a heartbreaking tale about devastating effects of poverty on one family. Elsewhere he mixes up the arrangements a bit with the addition of fiddle (“I Just Want You to Know”), trumpet (“Jesus is Coming in a Rat Turd”) and a revolving door of musicians, including frequent guest vocalist Shelby Jo Everett.

“You Said” takes the record on a brief detour into psychedelic pop before steering back to the dire alt-folk observations of “Hole in the Ground”. The album closes with one of the album’s two live tracks. “Four Days Drive to Chiapas” is a fan favorite, performed here with Blind Uncle Harry on guitar and Alex Burgan on vocals.

Blind Uncle Harry - Visualize Industrial Collapse

A delicate take on classic folk gone contemporary Blind Uncle Harry offers a soulful journey with “Visualize Industrial Collapse”. The pure embodiment of post-industrial folk, this is the sound of hope after exploitation of humanity has stopped. Community rests deep in the heart of this sound for the togetherness they celebrate is real. Instrumentally vibrant they incorporate a lot of acoustic beauty deep within the DNA of the sound. Vocals have an intimacy about them for they make sure to hold nothing back. Best of all are the lyrics that have a tried-and-true quality to them.

Digeridoos introduce the album off with that right level of playfulness on “Christmas in Australia”. On “Dope Smokers” there is a wild silliness to it and the shouted choruses further sell the sense of joy. “I Just Want You To Know” unfurls at a delicate deliberate pace. Distinct 60s vibes roll through “Burn Down the High School”. Elements of spiritually radiate on “Jesus is Coming In A Rat Turd” where they capture a living, breathing quality to their work, with the horns a rather nice touch. Stripping things down to the essentials the delicate chords of “My Daddy Died When I Was Nine Years Old” has an intimacy to it. Affection rules over “You Said”. Spirited guitar work guides the whole of “Hole In The Ground” forward. Effortlessly closing it all up is the sweetness of “Four Days Drive To Chiapas”.

“Visualize Industrial Collapse” revels in the exquisitely beautiful detail that Blind Uncle Harry displays with the utmost of ease.

Hi Blind Uncle Harry, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Great! Thanks for having me back!

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Burn Down the High School?”

Sure. For those who haven’t heard it, it is straight up rock and roll and it shreds! Mainly it mocks the stupidity of the American education system. It’s an intentional anthem for anyone who never fit into the ass kissing rah rah siss boom bah jock worshiping high school bullshit.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

Primarily, it’s my general disgust with craven capitalist hierarchy. The main point of education beyond the 4th grade is to indoctrinate you into getting up ridiculously early, have strangers tell you what to do and accept punishment if you don’t do it, and never being allowed to leave of your own accord, for the rest of your life. School, but especially high school, felt like prison to me. I was always like, why the fuck do I have to be here? In terms of inspiration, there’s the great John Boorman World War Two movie Hope and Glory, where this English kid arrives at his primary school and it’s been bombed overnight by the Germans. You think he’s gonna cry but instead he turns to the camera and gleefully exclaims “Thanks Adolph!”

How was the filming process and experience behind the video?

I’d been trying to get an animated video done for awhile, and then I had the great fortune of working with Andy Beargie of Blockhouse Studio here in the Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven town of Bloomington Indiana. Andy also produced three of the other video singles off the album. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted for “Burn Down The High School”, but Andy took it to the next level. Adding in the video fan footage of me and the band playing, shreddin’, and screaming it out live was sheer genius. Based on the sheer number of Youtube views and comments, people get that it’s meant to be funny. It’s not like I’m advocating for somebody to burn down a high school. I’m just pointing out the significant benefits to society if somebody did.

The single comes off your new album Visualize Industrial Collapse, which is coming out on November 18th. What’s the story behind the title?

I came across an image of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin very happily hanging out next to a little creek with trees and flowers all around. Above in the sky was “VISUALIZE INDUSTRIAL COLLAPSE”. It’s now become my personal mandala and mantra. I thought it was a more positive title than Crapfest, which is my usual way of referring to the USA! USA! and western society’s manic and intentional destruction of the natural world.

How was the recording and writing process?

I’d performed most of the songs live for awhile, and I had a clear idea of how I wanted them to sound. Originally I recorded them all solo acoustic. Then started adding instruments but no drums, which worked for some songs. I released it as an earlier EP but then pulled it, it just didn’t match the hillbilly hippie shreddin’ folk rock sound I heard in my head. It wasn’t until I got to work with Andy and he added drums that we finally got the sound I wanted while still not smothering the solo acoustic numbers. One of the things I’m most proud of is that we recorded it almost exclusively in my kitchen and living room at Tecumseh House.

Besides yourself, the album features vocalists Shelby Jo Everett and Alex Burgan. How was it working with those singers and how did that relationship develop?

Man, I’m so lucky! You can hear Shelby Jo and Alex on nearly all the songs, and they also nailed the bluegrass harmonies on The Gospel According To Blind Uncle Harry album. It’s one of the things that people say makes my sound so instantly recognizable. They didn’t just sing, they came up with the parts. Working out vocal hooks with them is my favorite part of recording, and what we spent the most time on.

Do the other musicians influence the writing at all?

A big shout out to Nick Harley, Peter Doyle, Ned Joyner, and Diederik Van Wassenaer, who were all members of the best band never to be famous, the Wonderhills. Plus Joseph Klatt, Antonia “Boom Boom” Davis, Mark Edlin, Nia Carlsgaard, and the aforementioned Andy Beargie, Shelby Jo Everett, and Alex Burgan. They didn’t necessarily influence the writing but they certainly influenced and are largely responsible for the sound. Unless you think the sound sucks, then it’s all on me

What role does Bloomington play in your music?

Bloomington is a wonderful progressive safe haven, a bubble in the conservative wasteland that is the rest of the state. I’m from Fort Wayne, which I often refer to as “the armpit of the Christian Right”. That and re-naming Indianapolis “Indiacrapolis” really seems to piss off my fellow Hoosiers. Regarding this album, “American Way” and “I Just Want You To Know” are certainly inspired by Indiana, but my feelings are best highlighted by, appropriately enough, the song “Indiana” off the last album: “Of all the 50 states/ we’re the one that always rates/ dumbest fattest and least likely to fornicate/ no wonder we’re so full of hate.”

Who would you say are some of your musical influences? Somewhat related, are there any dream collaborators you’d like to work with?

My overwhelming influence is Dylan. Pretty much everything I learned about how the world works I leaned from him, especially his album Infidels and his first solo folk albums. My dream overall sound is Groom’s Still Waiting At the Altar, and the live version of “When The Night Comes Falling From The Sky”. Todd Snider is another hero, and Agnostic Hymns and Stoner Fables is my favorite album. Boots Riley is arguably America’s greatest songwriter, political or otherwise, and I never get tired of his/ The Coup’s Party Music album. Dragonfly by the great Kasey Chambers is another album that I never get tired of. I had the great fortune of getting to meet her when I was in Australia, although I think it was more of a thrill for me than it was for her. My dream collaboration is to have a black all female gospel choir re-record Jesus Is Comin’ In A Rat Turd.

What else is happening next in Blind Uncle Harry’s world and where can people go to find out more about your music?

The next album is recorded and ready to go, so I’m focused on making videos for the three or four singles off it that will be released in 2023. And I’m pretty excited about touring Europe again to support Visualize Industrial Collapse. By far the best place to check out all things Blind Uncle Harry is www.blinduncleharry.com, owned and managed by yours truly, with no billionaire owned social media bullshit associated, and where you can listen to both albums and watch the videos for free. In closing, I really hope these lines from Dylan’s “Union Sundown” are not true for America’s future: “Democracy don’t rule this world/ You better get that through your head/ This world is ruled by violence/ Though I guess that’s best left unsaid”

Oct 2022 Review by Gary Hill

Home-made folk music is probably the best description of this music. I would say that the music works better than the vocals for me, but your mileage may vary. At times, I'm definitely reminded of Arlo Guthrie to some degree. The lyrics of this are definitely topical and make some important points. I suppose that's the biggest compliment for folk music.

This review is available in book (paperback and hardcover) form in Music Street Journal: 2022

Track by Track Review

Christmas Day In Australia
Didgeridoo starts the track. A folk styled arrangement rises up. We get both male and female vocals on this tune. It has a real down-home hippie vibe to it. There is some pretty inspired acoustic guitar work on this. The Didgeridoo comes back in at the end.

Dopesmokers Of The World Unite And Take Over
Acoustic instrumentation serves as the background for vocals that feel like a group of stoners at a party. This gets a parental advisory on the lyrics.

American Way
The instrumental arrangement on this thing is downright magical. The music has a real traveling kind of groove to it. The instrumental break includes some rather bluesy acoustic guitar work.

I Just Want You To Know
This has some biting lyrics. It does earn a bit of a parental advisory for those lyrics. The music is more energized and driving than anything we've heard to this point. It is still folk based and has some country angles, though.

Burn Down The High School
Still folk rock based, this number turns more electric even than the previous one. It includes a full electric guitar solo.

Fly Away
As this opens it's stripped back just sparse acoustic guitar. The female vocals come over the top as that guitar is intermittent. The male vocals never show up here, The music gets intensified and augmented as this continues, but it never rises to the rock territory of the previous couple songs.

Song For Kori
Another mellow, folk tune, the male vocals are back here.

Jesus Is Coming In A Rat Turd
A live recording a club, the music is based on acoustic guitar and a horn. There are both male and female vocals here. This is a bouncy tune. This gets pretty energized as it continues. This does earn a bit of a parental advisory. This is a catchy song. In fact, I'd consider it one of the best here.

My Daddy Died When I Was Nine Years Old
A stripped back acoustic guitar arrangement is on the menu here. This is poignant and intimate.

You Said
This is a catchy tune that powers up to be more of a rocker. It's a good time.

Hole In The Ground
A fast-paced folk tune, this works pretty well. I really like the energy of it.

Four Days Drive To Chiapas
Another folk song with some country in the mix, this has some of the best vocals (of the female variety) on the whole disc. In fact, I'd consider this to be one of the highlights here. That makes it a great choice for closer. This is another that was recorded live.

Aug 16 2022 In the past two years, the talented American artist, singer and songwriter Blind Uccle Harry has caused enthusiasm and at least recognition in this country with his music. First appearing on the album The Gospel According To Blind Uccle Harry, this artist's music has struck a chord with many of his peers and music fans of the handmade singer/songwriter art. This album brought Blind Uncle Harry attention for the first time in German-speaking countries, an attention he deserves, as his latest work Burn Down The High School proves: because when it comes to official, handmade music , Blind Uncle Harry is definitely a jackpot! Who can not only conjure up melodies that stick in your ear, but can also convince vocally and in terms of content with ease and he proves this again with this single!

With a mixture of folk and progressive variety, Blind Uncle Harry convinces again and shows with his usual playing ability and songwriting and vocal talent that he is a musical main prize. Slowly and moderately introductory and then captivating with a Rock 'N' Roll flair from the verse onwards, Blind Uncle Harry once again shows his versatile side and comes around the corner with a sound that appears on the one hand indie and on the other hand retro, but definitely not dusty. With musical finesse and subtlety, Blind shows Uncle Harry, who was born Chris "Harry" Doran and lives in Indiana. A light DNA of the rock music of the wild 1970s shimmers through in the sound of Burn Down The High School and thus gives the already mentioned retro flair to the best. Blind Uncle Harry shows his fantastic talent and the bonus on top of that is the fantastic, humorous retinal stimulation of the video, which is just as brilliantly implemented as the music itself.

Aug 20, 2022 Blind Uncle Harry – “Burn Down The High School” – Single Review

Part of me seriously wonders if I’m ever really going to ‘get’ Blind Uncle Harry or what he’s all about. For a moment there…back when I reviewed his single “Song For Kori” last year, I thought I had a real bead on this guy as an artist…but I’ll fully admit, the last track I took on called “I Just Want You To Know” and this one called “Burn Down The High School” seem to be further removed from what I was thinking. There are many things that are certainly enjoyable about the music he’s making…but it’s so much harder to pin down whether or not anyone could consider these tracks to be fully complete in that regard. We get pieces of things we like…flashes of brilliance…inherently strange vibes…and music that’s really always much more about the message being communicated than perhaps about what the song might need overall for the people out there to return to it or consider it as accessible as our good Uncle would potentially want it to be. “Burn Down The High School” has components that could be considered enticing in an Alt-Folk type of way…certainly stands a chance to make an impression for the shock value of what it’s about…has the benefit of a stellar animated video supporting it as well…like I said – there ARE things about what Blind Uncle Harry is doing that are really clever. Is it really just me though? I feel like this guy is rushing himself when taking just a bit more time to smooth things out would pay off that much more in the finished product. There are pieces that always work, yet something always amiss too.

Fundamentally, I dig the songwriting…that’s been pretty consistent across the board in the songs I’ve heard from Blind Uncle Harry to-date – he’s got a rebellious spirit, and I dig that about the guy. There’s almost always some kind of anti-establishment message at the heart of everything he does whether in audible form, or in his videos like you’ll see in “Burn Down The High School” – and he’s unafraid to be the kind of disruptor that is really needed to shake things up & wake up the people out there listening. All that kind of stuff checks out to me…it’s highly authentic, and remains the main part about what keeps me coming back to listen to what he’s up to next. Musicianship can also be a key factor – like, I freakin’ LOVE the guitar he’s put into “Burn Down The High School,” to the point where, I absolutely wish it played more of a significant starring role than it does. Right now, a lot of the most kickass chops he puts on display are nestled way into the background, when this stellar aspect of Blind Uncle Harry’s music clearly deserves to be right in the spotlight. So that’s a weird choice…but hey, the man himself is proudly bizarre too…so it’s not like we can really expect everything to line up in a linear point-A to point-B type fashion – Blind Uncle Harry is more about blurring all the lines and blazing up his own damn trail.

Some of that’ll work of course…not just for me and you, but for himself too as an artist. I feel like there are spots where he could easily challenge himself to raise the stakes and give things a bit more effort than he’s choosing to – but he might likely totally disagree with me on that, and obviously that’s alright. Like…I’ve never been a fan of “doo wops” in a song, or “ooh la las” either for that matter – and the entire hooks of the chorus in “Burn Down The High School” is built on their foundation. A part that I’m not personally a fan of is one thing…that’s just my personal attitude towards that kind of stuff and who cares about that…but if you’re gonna have those parts in a song, it’s pretty crucial to get’em sounding on-point in my opinion…and the harmonies/backup vocals on this cut felt like they shot more than a bit wide of the mark. Obviously, like in any song with a hook built into it, that’s the most repetitive part we’re going to hear…so to have that tone come out as accessible as possible ain’t just advised…it’s downright crucial to a song’s success…and in this particular instance, I felt like those main hooks became a main hindrance. Like I said…maybe it’s just me, but it feels like Blind Uncle Harry & his cohorts are rushing things a bit where they don’t need to be, or perhaps simply not being as objective, open, and honest about the results as they potentially should be. Things are alright…but I have no doubt they could be better than they are – and ultimately, you have to wonder why that would be the case when full control is in his hands. Of course, we can look at the numbers and the comments on YouTube alone, and see that I’m apparently the anomaly…people aren’t giving Blind Uncle Harry the opinion I’m giving…so maybe it’s my ears that are broken, not his. He’s got his style of sound, and sure, I can get that it’s going to have an appeal of its own to many folks out there…ultimately, only he knows whether or not he could potentially be bringing more to his music and art than I suspect that he currently is. In my opinion, he’s got major strengths in the music, great ideas for the videos he puts out, cleverness that works great in his writing, and vocals that require an upgrade from the lead to the background…so really, he ain’t all that far off.

We all get the singing voices we come in with…but there are things we can do to refine them to be even better than they started out…and I’d be willing to wager that putting in more effort in that department for Blind Uncle Harry could ultimately go a very long way in making his songs more accessible overall. Time will tell if it’s the hundreds of thousands of folks tuning into his music that are giving him the straight truth, or if it’s me by my lonesome…either way, keep on keepin’ on my man…I might not like or love every single thing I’m ever gonna hear, but I know the world needs more crazy cats like this dude.

Just Fame is today featuring the single by artist Blind Uncle Harry. The artist is back with another marvelous single with a wonderful arrangement. Add to that the raw vocals and riveting tonality and you get a brilliant single titled Burn Down The High School! When compared to his other notable single’s Blind Uncle Harry the lyricism is as usual quite powerful and keeps us cajoled onto this track throughout its entirety.

And if you are worried about the title of the single then do read the disclaimer from his official video!

New Single 'Burn Down The High School' By Blind Uncle Harry

Aug 19 2022 Many of us have sung Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out” with great gusto. We sang/shouted, “School’s out forever!’” At one point in the song, Cooper announces, “My school’s been blown to pieces.” Of course, much contemporary music – particularly country music – is filled with happy nostalgia for those high school years. Had we blown our school to pieces, we’d be singing an entirely different song now. Although it’s sung in an entirely different style – folkish rock, rather than hard rock – Blind Uncle Harry’s “Burn Down The High School” expresses similar anti-high school emotions.

However, if you read Cooper’s lyric a little more closely, the line, “School’s out for summer” precedes “School’s out forever.” Therefore, a summer away from the drudgery of daily school attendance can feel like an eternity. Blind Uncle Harry’s wish is more permanent than just a summer vacation, though. He’s singing about a school turned to ashes for good.

The track begins with Blind Uncle Harry singing over acoustic guitar, before electric guitar and a female vocal comes in. He gets right to the point by describing how a match put to gas burns the school grounds down to its very foundations. The best part of this song is its electric guitar accompaniment. It features hippie soloing all throughout the track, with a sound that mixes The Grateful Dead with Jefferson Airplane. In place of a chorus, the recording features ‘ooh la las’ between verses, instead.

Blind Uncle Harry doesn’t sound as much anti education as he does anti-establishment. Vocalizing with that warbly, unstable vocal tone of his, Harry sings about how society will change without the educational establishment. It’s as though he views education as a way of overly micromanaging young people, who would be much better off without the burden of formal schooling.

One wonders if Blind Uncle Harry had a bad school experience. Was he a poor student? Did he get bullied? Was he more of a doer than a listener? Of course, this guy probably didn’t have as bad of an experience as today’s high school students. School may have been a drag and a bore for guys like Blind Uncle Harry, but he didn’t have to walk onto school grounds in near constant fear of someone opening fire on him and his fellow students with a high-powered gun. These are modern problems and offer far more valid reasons to either hate or fear school attendance. And the bullying that took place a few decades ago, has become even worse during our internet era. Plus, there’s the pressure to look as good as celebrities do on social media pages. It was tough then, but it’s even tougher now.

Yes, we all probably imagined the joy of watching our high school burn down, at least on our worst days. However, most of us have more positive than negative memories of that time. Most are glad we never gave into the urge to get a little destructive with our high school. Then again, for those bad days, when we truly hated going to school, “Burn Down The High School” does kind of scratch an angry itch. Best to experience in song, though, rather than actually go through with it.

Aug 11 2022 Chris “Harry” Doran, known by his artist name Blind Uncle Harry, is a singer/songwriter from Bloomington Indiana. We have previously checked out quite a few of Blind Uncle Harry’s songs including “Christmas Day in Australia”, “Dopesmokers of the World Unite and Take Over”, “Song For Kori”, American Way and “I Just Want You To Know” and today we are back to listen to “Burn Down The High School”!

“Burn Down The High School” is quite provocative in its name and nature; the opening of the video indicates that Blind Uncle Harry is not advocating for the burning of any schools, rather he is highlighting his perceived benefits of burning one down. This track is one that surely get you thinking and Blind Uncle Harry’s lyrics are as engaging as ever. This artist’s folk-influenced style is always sure to entertain and this song is a striking example.

I really enjoy listening to Blind Uncle Harry; the music he creates is a certain kind of special that you want to keep coming back to.

Aug 2022 Blind Uncle Harry dives headfirst into an acid fried story with “Burn Down The High School”. Harboring a gleeful rebellious streak, the song stuns thanks in large part to its blunt lyricism. The word choice here guides the song along. Verses are chosen with the utmost of care for they make sure to hold nothing back. Instrumentally they keep things relatively simple to make sure that the main focal point is on the narrative that takes its time in unspooling. His voice has a strength to it and the backup singers further sell the story making it undeniably joyous.

Right from the beginning they set the tone rather quickly. From the low-key open the song grows and expands. Always with the right degree of restraint at least instrumentally, the track does a fantastic job in highlighting the sheer absurdity of the lyricism. Lines devoted to no longer having to worry about math roll on through for the delivery has a deadpan quality to it. Balance here reigns supreme for there is strong attention to detail throughout. The sense of freedom, of rising above the expected, add to the giddiness of the piece. Drums have a ramshackle rhythm, bringing together lo-fi rock, folk, and a hint of punk for good measure. For the final stretch the punchline emerges and hits with that oh so perfect cadence.

On the playful style of “Burn Down The High School” Blind Uncle Harry features a gorgeous sound one both intimate and raw.

Aug 14, 2022 Based out of Indiana, Chris ‘Harry’ Doran aka Blind Uncle Harry adds to his musical legacy upon the release of his new single titled Burn Down The High School. Blind Uncle Harry’s brand of folk rock is unique and expresses great ideas that range from comical to lyrically provocative.

Burn Down The High School is an amalgamation of folk and progressive styles. It has a homegrown feel that is reminiscent of the early 70’s rock era. The backing feminine vocals wonderfully complement Blind Uncle Harry’s lead. The song’s perky electric guitar adds an extra sense of colorfulness to the track that is quite appealing.
August 2022 - Blind Uncle Harry is an artist with a passion for one-of-a-kind country music. His most recent song, “"Burn Down The High School”, is a fun, one-of-a-kind and rebellious song with a sassy attitude and a lot of energy on tap. The song kicks off with an acoustic guitar part and the main vocals, with an electric guitar adding as extra color here and there. The background vocals are just as fun and dynamic, while the music video is also the cherry on top, with its animated content and unique visuals! The topic of the song itself really reminds me of the ending of the “Rock & Roll High School” musical, when kids have their say over the school at the end, and shall we say, end things with a big bang!

August 2022 I always smile when I look at the pile of new music that the postal pigeon has dropped off at the local trading post for me and see a new slice of sonic subversion from Blind Uncle Harry in amongst the earnest indie kids, overactive proggers, image-obsessed indie kids and the latest mumble rapper seemingly overburdened with the weight of the world yet so unburdened by any talent.

And whilst Harry’s songs are often filled with esoteric wisdom, social commentary and drug logic, they are always filled with humour. It’s the perfect blend of wit and wisdom, a sort of Arlo Guthrie for the modern age. Obviously, a song with such a title could get you into a lot of hot water but thankfully he protects himself with the following statement, “This song does not advocate the burning down a high school. It merely highlights the significant benefits to society if indeed a high school was to burn down.” This sounds like something from the office of Rudi Guilliani (is he still a thing?) but it does set the tone nicely and tell you everything that you need to know about Harry’s worldview.

From there, he muses on what might happen if such an inexplicable and unforeseen tragedy were to happen and what the benefits might be to its students. And all this is delivered over a harmony-heavy slice of cosmic pop, a package of psychedelic grooves, widdly and wonderful guitars and ’60s, Day-Glo pop colours.

BLIND UNCLE HARRY SAYS “BURN DOWN THE HIGH SCHOOL”

Aug 29 2022 The folk artist is back with a new single, Blind Uncle Harry is not afraid to make a statement with his music. This track has plenty of Harry’s distinctive wit and humor. Separating himself from much of the hipster folk-pop of today and aligning with much of the unique sounds and storytelling of 60s folk artists.

From Bloomington Indiana, Blind Uncle Harry describes his sound as “hillbilly hippie shreddin’ folk rock.” Some sharp blues guitar gives this track a little bit of that fire Blind Uncle Harry sings about. With a searing tone, a solo rips through the track. A straightforward drum beat keeps the rhythm, all the members of the band are pretty loose on the beat giving the song an authentic folk feel.

At its core, a good folk song is about its story and its message. “Burn Down the High School” muses about the education system sucking the life out of the young. The lyrics take a lighthearted attitude and ask the question: what if it all just burned down. The song avoid being pretentious and taking itself too seriously.

Doo-wop vocals highlight the chorus and fit well into the sound of the sound. The vibe harkens back to some 60s experimental folk, and thematically “Burn Down the High School” matches that with its anti-institution message.

Check out some more of Blind Uncle Harry with his distinctive folk style. He has been releasing plenty of singles over the past two years along with playing shows full of that crazy live energy. Keep up with the artist to follow what they are up to in the future.

Blind Uncle Harry immediately captures your attention with his earlobe-raising single titled “Burn Down The High School”. One will be thinking to themselves what in the world is this “Burn Down The High School” all about and then you push play and find out. What the listener experiences from Blind Uncle Harry is an intoxicating blend of eccentricity that will tantalize your sense of hearing. I can honestly say, without a shadow of a doubt, that I have never heard anything quite like Blind Uncle Harry and his recent song, “Burn Down The High School”.

Blind Uncle Harry actually resides from my neck of the woods in Bloomington, Indiana and he is one unique singer/songwriter to say the least. This Bloomington, IN-based artist was inspired by his Great Uncle Harry who was, in fact, blind and played the fiddle. This is how the name Blind Uncle Harry came about and the rest is history! His music has been described as “hillbilly hippie shreddin’ folk rock” and I would say that is a fair assessment. With so many elements of surprise and vibrant energy, “Burn Down The High School” will keep you engaged from beginning to end.

Right away on this original track, I pick up on a very unique musical approach and quirky style that certainly sparks my interests. Blind Uncle Harry’s vocal delivery is one-of-a-kind and causes one to be heavily involved with the music whether you like it or not. “Burn Down The High School” offers up very interesting lyrics that will make you think and listen twice. I also picked up on a witty side to Blind Uncle Harry as he appears to have a funny bone or two and a few, silly tricks up his sleeve. Additionally, “Burn Down The High School” provides cool melodies, nice harmonies and solid instrumentation.

'I Just Want You To Know' is one of those songs which carries emotions when presented in its natural form. This lyrically driven song already establishes its strong message and gives you an insight into its true meaning. The absence of over processed and polished sound is what makes this song unique and leaves an emotional impact on the mind. The clarity of vocals and their successive harmonies make them easy to follow and sing along with. The subtle blend of folk and rock elements is ingenious and has a genuine influence on the theme. A simple and traditional combination of fiddle and acoustic guitar contributes to the intricacy of this tune.

A modest place for bass provides a significant warmth while also supporting the rhythm. The inclusion of electric guitar and snappy drums adds melodic and tonal quality to the spectrum. The underlying vintage dynamics serves up the isolated and saturated sound of all the musical elements as intended. Even though the composition and lyrics are amusing and engaging, the delightful humour has a powerful message for the listeners.
Blind Uncle Harrytag:blinduncleharry.com,2005:Post/71332612022-12-19T13:00:00-05:002023-01-05T12:48:42-05:00I Just Want You To Know Review by Beach Sloth
A mixture of Woody Guthrie and Beat Happening, Blind Uncle Harry creates a soulful sound on “I Just Want You To Know”. -BEACH SLOTH

Blind Uncle Harry sings straight from the heart in the folk punk musings of “I Just Want You To Know”. The intimacy features prominently throughout the whole of the piece. Everything has a dignity to it. Rhythms take their time, always making sure mood is of the essence. Allowing the many layers to intermingle there is a rawness to the overall approach one that feels quite majestic to behold in full. Guitars have a lightness to them for they have a woven quality to them. Grooves have a distinct early 90s indie rock quality.

Right from the beginning they let a lot of hope into the equation. With the whole of the work there is a peace that radiates over the course of the entire thing. The intermingle of the work has a brilliance to it. Everything about the song has a soothing quality to it. Detail here matters for the word choice has a prettiness to it. Everything about the sound unfurls in a way that adds to its casual quality. By keeping things rather loose there is a power to it, one where the vocalists have a conversational aspect. Such a large sound they maintain a nice amount of light within the whole of the track, one virtually dripping with so much color. For the final stretch it all comes together in a fantastic way.

I ended up stumbling onto this dude’s music sometime around the start of summer last year through a really unique experience in reviewing Blind Uncle Harry’s single called “Song For Kori.” It’s tough to explain all of what I found in listening to that tune in a quick intro here…but suffice it to say, it was one of those moments I certainly didn’t forget. Being memorable doesn’t equate to having the world’s best song of all-time…there are plenty of ways to go about being memorable & this man knows many of’em.

I figure you can look at a track like “I Just Want You To Know” in at least a couple ways. You can go surface level and listen to it for the Folk/Indie vibes that Blind Uncle Harry generates and the inherently strange, kind of somewhat rambling style that comes along with it…not entirely uncommon to the genre when it comes right down to it, but credit where credit is due, Harry reveals he’s got his own thing goin’ on in that regard…there’s still plenty of identifiable style. If you’ve ever heard the offshoot alternative tunes from the Grunge heyday, or again, the Indie/Folk sounds in the underground that ended up taking over from there below the surface of mainstream meathead Rock for the years that followed – “I Just Want You To Know” fits in with those loosely structured melodies that have their own authentic pulse. I never go into a track like this thinking it would necessarily be everyone’s jam…it’s really just not the reality – that’s not on Blind Uncle Harry, that’s just the nuts & bolts of a style of sound that’s more niche and proudly on the fringe. Essentially, you’ll find a song like “I Just Want You To Know” would give the people out there needing hooks & tangible melody to guide them along just enough to never quit on it – but at the same time, relentlessly challenges the listeners by coloring outside of the lines deliberately when everything could be so much more simple & straightforward. Complexity comes with a cost, even when it sounds like it all comes naturally. Harry could meter out his verses syllable for syllable to make sure every beat matched every bar if he wanted to – there’s no doubt about his skillset – it’s simply boils down to the choices he makes for the art he chooses to create – and his songs, from my limited personal experience so far, seem to be much more of a vehicle for his words than perhaps any other element. The guy’s got a lot to say…and so you get this mix of rambling & endearing melody that runs together and becomes a real bridge between singing & muttering the many thoughts roaming around in his head out loud. Let me be crystal clear with all of y’all…there ain’t nothing wrong with going this route…having a whole lotta words when you’ve got something real to say like Blind Uncle Harry has, can be an extremely good thing…and for myself personally, I enjoy that aspect of what I’ve heard in his music so far. Objectively, more words directly = less space, less time, and less opportunity for HOW those words get to be sung though…and that’s where Harry still gets to make the choice. Does the priority become getting out each and every word, exactly as he’s written them down, potentially at the cost of being able to sing a note or two a little more smoothly, or are the words always the most important ingredient? That’s the debate to be had, and it’s one that’s already been raging longer than either Harry or I have been alive for. There is no real answer – we all like what we like & love what we love…and that’s all it is. The point however, remains the same whether the choice is an intentional one or not…that’s the trade that’s being made here…accessibility versus artistic freedom…”commodification” & “corporatization” versus being who we ARE & who we want to be – am I right Blind Uncle Harry? He could round out the corners if he wanted to, maybe trimmed a word outta the lyrics here & there…but if he were to do all that – would he still be the artist he wanted to be, making the music he envisioned? The answer is plain – probably not. And so it goes.

There are many significant wins in “I Just Want You To Know” that we’d likely all universally agree on. The backing vocals are a spectacular treat and you can hear a lot of talent to be found there…the violin remains a standout element of the music throughout, and the guitar really lights up a fantastic solo moment in the mix along the way as well…all of this stuff checks out in-full…we’ll all dig these pieces of “I Just Want You To Know.” The rest becomes much more of a discussion & debate, and one always worth having in my opinion…I never felt like Harry was off the mark, but sure, there were many points where I’d wonder if he could have made his vocals resonate with a bit more power & passion behind the words to give it all the rich warmth we find in the music & backing vocals surrounding him. My gut tells me he’s done what he can with the space that he has…and until there’s a bit more compromise between what he wants to say and the fluidity we wanna hear on our end in that regard, there’s a good chance he’s gonna run into this a few times. I’ve got no real qualms here myself…I like the perspective that Blind Uncle Harry brings to his lyrics and I appreciate the sentiment he writes with – but at the same time, I can sure recognize that the choices he makes are a mouthful to sing & a whole lot to memorize. The thing was though…I felt like it was the verses that stood out to me more in “I Just Want You To Know” for the detail in his words, as opposed to the more simple & straight-ahead design of the main chorus hooks…it’s because he’s willing to ramble freely and spill his thoughts so honestly that tends to interest me the most on a personal level. Will everyone out there feel the same about that? Doubtful! To say the very least. The last thing I’d ever want is everyone out there to agree with every single word I write though…so take that with a grain of salt & feel no pressure from my side of the screen & speakers. Like what you like, love what you love, and if “I Just Want You To Know” qualifies, then turn it right on UP!

Blind Uncle Harry ist mit seiner neuen Single und dem dazugehörigen Video I Just Want You To Know zurück! I Just Want You To Know anspringt. Kaum zu erwähnen, währen hierbei dann auch noch die Leistung der Produzenten und Tontechniker, die das Ganze in einen ansprechenden-, homogenen Sound verpacken.

Fazit 8 von 10: Mit I Just Want You To Know verbreitet Blind Uncle Harry eine wichtige Botschaft.

BLIND UNCLE HARRY – “I Just Want You to Know”: StreamLINE Music Review March 15, 2022

Blind Uncle Harry is the moniker of acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Chris ‘Harry’ Doran. Harry’s eclectic musical stylings are a distinct fusion of folk, rock and country, something he describes as “hillbilly hippie shreddin’ folk rock”; Harry can also be characterized as “the real McCoy” as he pens songs which come straight from the heart, unfiltered and not watered down in any sense. Whether he’s singing on serious, thought-provoking subject matters or incorporating his cagey knack for blending satire with a musical twist, Blind Uncle Harry is a recording artist sure to garner attention.

Harry continues his staunch reputation as a lyrical straightshooter, established with such popular tracks as “American Way” and “Songs of Kori”, with a witty, yet provocative song titled “I Just Want You to Know” accompanied by an enthralling music video. “I Just Want You to Know” is a compelling song lyrically as Harry asserts his unapologetic patriotism by bluntly tackling certain norms and aspects of American society that many people perceive as true American values; however, Harry shines a light on their detriment and eschews them…

There are millions and millions thinking this is so great

That we all live in a military state

Mindless consumption and endless competition

You pay a high price for being born American

Well I had nothing to do with it

I, for all my life fought against all of this

Harry’s vocal delivery is harmoniously mellow and projects a magnetically appealing authenticity that rings through the soundscape. His voice rides along the wistful and reflective instrumentation with a flawless self-determination that captures the essence of the song. Harry’s voice is extremely engaging, not boisterous or “in-your-face”, which enhances the empowering factor of the messaging…not preachy…but it comes off as a guy simply stating his viewpoints and it’s easy to absorb. “I Just Want You to Know” is a song and composition that activates your mental imagery and may challenge your way of thinking.

Commodification

Corporatization

March 12, 2022 Blind Uncle Harry might come across as that guy at the end of the bar, always spouting on about conspiracy theories and what the government is really up to. The guy that most of the denizens of this watering whole accept with good grace but whisper about behind his back.

But, if you were to spend any time listening to what he actually has to say, you would find that there is a lot of truth in his warnings and theories. And so it is with his latest song, I Just Want You To Know, a lilting rootsy tune shot through with spiralling fiddles, slices of choppy guitar and heavenly harmonies. One day he might very well be proved right and whilst you were getting your view of the world from The Washington Post, CNN or…(tries not to laugh)…Fox News, maybe it was the guy at the end of the bar, the one who does his own independent research, the guy not taken in my the mass media message, that you should have been listening to all along.

And when it does enevitably all go wrong, at least Blind Uncle Harry can sit back in the sound knowledge that he had nothing to do with it. Part song, part statment of non-involvement, same old raggady brilliance. You can always count on Harry.

Blind Uncle Harry – ‘I Just Want You To Know’ by Thomas Bedward March 13, 2022

An acclaimed singer-songwriter who borrowed his stage name from his great uncle, Chris Doran, better known as the wild Blind Uncle Harry, has been kicking up the dust around Indiana for some time now, cultivating a textured folk-rock sound that is built on ‘hillbilly hippie shreddin', raucous live shows, and bold, extended solos. Hitting with vitality and a raw, expressive style, Chris has been winning over hearts and minds all across the globe, and it’s all thanks to tracks like ‘I Just Want You To Know’.

The latest in a long list of rightfully celebrated releases, ‘I Just Want You To Know’ arrives as a bold blend of sharp, evocative vocals, powerful percussion, and cascading rhythms. Built to last with a maelstrom of iconic Americana sounds, the new single is filled with pride, joy, and authenticity, delivering a homegrown anthem that boldly wears its heart on its sleeve.

Stripped back and free of any over-polished sounds, ‘I Just Want You To Know’ speaks straight from the heart, offering a tangible connection between artist and audience that shines with gentle folk-rock harmonies. It’s a subtle, but wonderful blend, one that snaps with drifting electric guitar and heightened drums, laying down a familiar melodic style that is perfectly punctuated by iconic guitar riffs and wayward emotive lines.

Undercut by vintage dynamics and golden, saturated sounds, Chris’ vocals add a touch of humour and humanity, carving through the music with an engaging and hard-to-forget style. Ultimately, it’s an unexpected, but welcome release, and it stands apart in all the best ways.

Described as the “musical antidote to these politically poisonous times”, Chris’ work as Blind Uncle Harry has never failed to inspire or entertain, and with his new single, he’s continued to impress, extending his reach and proving beyond any shadow of a doubt, the power of one man and some really good music.

Blind Uncle Harry Gets Real In Single ‘I Just Want You To Know’

by Skope • March 13, 2022

‘Hillbilly Hippie Shreddin’ Folk Rock’. That’s how Blind Uncle Harry describes his music and it’s completely spot on. In fact, that can now be a genre in its own right as Blind Uncle Harry is back shreddin’ yet again with another folk-rock single ‘I Just Want You To Know’. What always amazes me when I get into the details of a Blind Uncle Harry track is the unwavering truth that resides in his lyrics. He’s not afraid to jump onto a soapbox about what he believes. Well, why should he when he tends to point out some poignant truths about modern-day society? This is an artist that truly has something to say, and, boy, does he say it well.

Staying true to himself, ‘I Just Want You To Know’ is a completely political track. Yet, the politics is sewn into slick guitar solos, catchy melodies and groovy guitar chords. As the name suggests, Blind Uncle Harry just wants us to know the hypocrisies hidden in the society of today and he translates these truths as he knows best — a sensational, folk-infused single. Throughout the track, Blind Uncle Harry’s unique vocals cut through the chords with passionate precision. His performance is never overbearing or overpowering, instead, he invites you to really listen to the meaning behind the words. The delicate harmonies that adorn Blind Uncle Harry’s main melodies provide a refreshing brightness to the track. They colour in the space as they sail over Harry’s singing. When it comes to the instrumentation, there’s a definite groove guiding the way in this track. The bass bounces below the thicker guitars and creates a nice movement that prevents any stagnation in the soundscape. String lines swing in with infectious energy throughout the track; there are some beautiful moments of ornamentation and stretched out melodies that melt into the main body of the music. In true Blind Uncle Harry fashion, the guitar solo that swoops in is an energetic highlight of the track. ‘I Just Want You To Know’ could have easily fit right in with Blind Uncle Harry’s debut album ‘The Gospel According To Blind Uncle Harry’ and that’s what makes this artist such a force to be reckoned with. Blind Uncle Harry has perfected his passionate ‘hillbilly hippie shreddin’ folk rock’, he knows what he wants to say and he’s not afraid to say it. Listening to this track is akin to taking a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down.

Blind Uncle Harry embodies pure Americana with the sharp-tongued “American Way”. With humor that touches upon Randy Newman’s sly lyricism it underpins the entirety of the work. Verses here have an insightful take, one that shows off exactly the powerlessness that so many Americans are feeling in this very moment. His guitar work features a playfulness to it for it nicely punctuates the power of his words. Rhythms too feature a laid-back, reflective aspect.

From the beginning the guitar work has a hearty aspect to it. His playing has a looseness to it, drawing upon much of the work of John Fahey and his ilk. A rather spirited performance, his touches upon a Woody Guthrie tact for his observations fly on by. Over the course of the track he absolutely pours his heart into every moment. Little details here matter as the song has a simple yet spry quality, making sure to keep things light as the word choice focuses on the heavily attributes of the entire piece. Every single thought within the sound feels mulled over, and hits way too close to home. A sense of feeling downtrodden tends to inform much of the piece, for he makes sure that the song keeps on building up to that fantastic finish at the end.

“American Way” features Blind Uncle Harry’s incredible thoughtfulness for the song sprawls out into the infinite, with a message that lingers in the mind long after the song has ended.

“American Way” is yet another authentic slice of Americana - fitting considering the track’s title - from the ever-talented Blind Uncle Harry. This track provides commentary on the titular “American way”, dissecting some of its more negative elements in a sensible way; throughout this track, Blind Uncle Harry takes his naturally folksy sound and puts it to use in a traditional sense. Even tackling a serious topic like this one, it is easy to tell just how much fun Blind Uncle Harry has while creating the music he releases and that kind of spirit is undeniably endearing, adding a layer of authenticity to his music that many artists do not have.

Oct 6, 2021 Blind Uncle Harry delivers a sarcastic swan song to the enslaving 'American Way' in new video (Video) [ Folk Rock | Americana | Singers & Songwriters ]

The American musician Blind Uncle Harry has stood for musical quality for some time and presents one fantastic work after the other from his pen. Having garnered some scrutiny over the past year with the album The Gospel According To Blind Uncle Harry, and eventually cementing his reputation with releases such as Christmas Day In Australia and Dopesmokers of the World , the Illinois folk-rocker is back to bring his music to the world his new work and music video American Way. Fantastic on Blind Uncle Harryhas always been that he was always to be taken seriously musically and has proven to be a capable composer and musician, so he has always not taken himself too seriously on a lyrical level and has proven to be a humorous songwriter. It is the interaction of the instrumental and vocal aspect that makes Blind Uncle Harry 's music somehow unique.

A uniqueness, which is noticeable again on his new single American Way ! Again with a straightforward playing of Blind Uncle Harry 's concert guitar , which is emphasized by fantastic basic tones from drums in medium tempo and where the rich basic sound is also provided by voluminous bass riffs. Here the instrumental is a coherent vehicle for the singing of Blind Uncle Harry, which again highlights the talent of this artist. Here, the swan song of the compulsion of the social structures in America is given in a sarcastic and at the same time serious way. In this so-called land of unlimited opportunities and alleged freedom, the little citizen has little to say, should be in bondage and nobody hears what he has to say. Again with fantastic vocals, this Americana folk song is a clear rejection of the system of coercion. Musically and compositionally very mature, American Way by Blind Uncle Harrysticks directly in the listener's memory.

Conclusion 8 out of 10: Blind Uncle Harry convinces every time! If you're fed up with being subjugated by the autocratic authorities, this song is perfect for you.

Blind Uncle Harrytag:blinduncleharry.com,2005:Post/71264482022-12-18T14:00:00-05:002022-12-31T13:37:22-05:00American Way BANDCAMP DIARIES
This exciting new release captures the sound and feel of Americana, and it feels like a perfect representation of what Blind Uncle Harry is all about: a true storyteller with a passion for the classic sounds of America’s most iconic music."

Blind Uncle Harry Offers His Critique In Latest Single ‘American Way’

by Skope • October 7, 2021

Blind Uncle Harry’s unique brand of ‘hillbilly hippie shreddin’ folk rock’ just keeps getting better and better of late. His latest single ‘American Way’ is an effortless evolution of his folk-infused sound. This single comes off the back of his previous release ‘Song For Kori’ — a delicate depiction of an unjust and broken system and its harrowing consequences.
‘American Way’ feels, well to be frank, truly American. From the slick guitar solo episodes to the classic country drum line, ‘American Way’ oozes a bluesy country flair. Over a steady soundscape, Blind Uncle Harry laments over the hypocritical and exploitative nature of the American way of life. The thick blanket of sarcasm makes lines such as “don’t you worry baby it’ll be okay… don’t you worry it’s the American way” all the more fun to belt along with. Blind Uncle Harry has the most astounding ability to pen songs that’ll have you moving and shaking whilst questioning the structures that surround you. His discography is by far the most intriguing I’ve seen in a while. Whilst with ‘Song For Kori’ you had to listen deeply to hear the societal truths, ‘American Way’ is an out and proud critique of western ways of the world — by nature it’s an absolute anthem. His vocals hold unwavering confidence, slightly edging this song the realms of a call to arms. His refreshingly raw and natural vocal lines allow you to truly take in the message of the track, whilst learning just why Blind Uncle Harry is such a beloved country artist storming the scene right now. With his unique “hippie shreddin’ folk-rock” Blind Uncle Harry is making life all the more fun as he scores our daily soundtracks. Even if, as he says in this latest single, that “living a lie is the price you pay”.

Blind Uncle Harry Is Back With “Song For Kori,” a Twisted Tale of Personal Worth

A folktale that reflects the dark side of American values.

The Indiana singer and songwriter with a penchant for the unconventional is back with his latest release “A Song For Kori.” The “hillbilly hippie shreddin’ folk-rock” artist Blind Uncle Harry is known for having a laidback bluegrass hippy vibe, and his latest work definitely doesn’t disappoint in terms of being unique.

Described as “a searing indictment of American values, where a man is worth more to his daughter/dead than alive,” this track is a stripped-down direct depiction of the grand values of the USA accompanied by an acoustic guitar. “A Song For Kori” is extremely grim (a dad realizes that he’s better off dead than racking up bills he can’t pay), but where’s the lie? A continuous theme for Blind Uncle Harry is to tell hard truths without sugarcoating, and while “A Song For Kori” might not be a shining light of positivity, it feels incredibly genuine.

May 27, 2021 Blind Uncle Harry pours out his soul on folk single "Song For Kori"

There is something special about acoustic songs that are so striped back. They provide a deeper level of intimacy and self reflection. Blind Uncle Harry's song is just that. A fable about the intricate moments of life, the struggles, the trials, the tribulations and the victories.

A simple heartfelt notion of words combined with Uncle Harry's slow, methodical and laid back approach. His tone and delivery still somewhat haunting allowing every word to be imprinted on the listeners mind.

Accompanied by only the pluck of a soft guitar set of strings, the song's five minutes in length seems to go unprecedentedly quickly.

The Gospel According To Blind Uncle Harry.

Blind Uncle Harry – “Song For Kori” – Single Review May 2021

Blind Uncle Harry! What in the all-heck am I listening to here bud?

This is more clever than you’ll realize at first, I can almost guarantee you that. I ain’t gonna lie to ya – when I gave this single “Song For Kori” a spin for myself, even I was fooled a little bit by this guy at the beginning.

Yet something told me to dig a little deeper here.

You see…on the surface level, it would be easy to judge a song like this that consists of a couple of notes & some arguably shaky vocals and say that Blind Uncle Harry isn’t exactly recreating the wheel here – and in some ways, that’s still a fair observation to make. He echoes the folk-singers of old, way back when before everything had to be all slicked out with top-shelf studio production…when the natural sound of a guitar still held its true magic with the masses. Vocally…honestly he doesn’t really wander off key so much as there’s just a whole lotta words to this tune that makes it extremely challenging to sing, and no real rhyme-scheme to rely on either…but we’ll get to that…the bottom line is, I felt like the man did end up holding his own in that department, stylistically emulating a specific vibe with intent. There’s also a pure sincerity in Blind Uncle Harry’s voice that’s bound to appeal to a bunch of you Folk fans out there as well…I’d readily concede there are actually quite a few endearing things about this cat. Where “Song For Kori” makes its biggest impact & impression on us is genuinely through the combination of all that’s involved…which includes the brilliant one-shot video, and most certainly the lyricism to be found.

Because at the heart of it all, you’ll find this is one spectacularly sweet, and exquisitely twisted tale. Also, accurate AF in case anyone out there is wondering. The strengths in what Blind Uncle Harry does as a songwriter, actually end up working incredibly well and reveal themselves in-full when you start to piece this whole puzzle together. If you’re wondering why the song itself sounds as isolated & intimate, like it’s recorded in a barn somewhere out in middle America…well…look no further than the video & you’ll know exactly why that is. While I usually assume that what we’re hearing in a video version of a song is the recorded cut laid down in the studio, this time around, I believe it’s actually the opposite that’s true – I think what you see onscreen is the actual recording of “Song For Kori” taking place, and if you’re listening real close I think it’s that dog bark in the background at about the 3:31 mark that might confirm my assumption. For a one-shot video…honestly, I can’t explain just how perfect it genuinely IS – obviously it’s not what I’d recommend for every song or all of you out there, but look at the amount of character in the setting around him, look at how it lets the light in from the back like an old Gospel style building, and then of course, consider the sound & style he’s gently rockin’ – truly, everything really fits.

So now…let’s get to the heart of the matter, which is the words he’s written here – words that prove this dude’s got an insightful perspective on the world and unafraid to call it like he sees it – and of course, I dig that. As I’ve long said & stood by every time – real success as an artist or band is achieved by having something to prove, or something to say…if you’ve got one of those qualities, or both, you’re well on your way to a career with longevity. When you hear the storyline that runs through “Song For Kori” for yourself, believe me, you can’t miss the fact that Blind Uncle Harry has plenty to say – but you’ll likely be more than impressed by the story he’s woven into the fabric of this Folk tune and how apt it is. Grim as all-hell by the end, sure…but an accurate depiction of so much that is wrong with the world’s richest nation and a scathing depiction of the America we’ve come to know, which has some real shit to get sorted out right now. But without giving this whole scenario away, essentially you get the story of a father & daughter…dad’s doin’ his best to get by…eventually he can’t work anymore and the bills start stacking up…and ultimately, he comes to the conclusion that he’s worth more dead than he would be alive to his daughter. What’d I tell ya – GRIM right? Yeah, well…buckle-up hombres because good ol’ Blind Uncle Harry ain’t finished with you yet. Think of it this way – while it’s likely that the bulk of this tune being based in a fictional way in regards to the characters & whatnot…you also can’t deny how all-too close to home a story like this might be for so many – as in, he may or may-not have made up Kori and her father, but these characters are every bit as real as you and I are. You know them – because we see them on the news or know them as our neighbors…we understand the dire circumstances so many people live through day to day; and yep, right in the middle of the world’s richest nation – which Blind Uncle Harry has no problem at all holding to account at the end of this song, where he’ll go on to really prove he IS an artist with something significant to say in the final reveal of the powerful points he was looking to make by creating this cut all along, tying in the relevancy into the modern day mess we’re still stuck in right now, at this very moment. Clever & cunning songwriting from Blind Uncle Harry here on “Song For Kori” – all things said & done, by the time he hits this single’s main conclusion, it lands with the resounding thump of the weight of its message, delivered by the most delicate means, but hard hitting all the same.

May 29, 2021 Chris “Harry” Doran, known by his artist name Blind Uncle Harry, is a singer/songwriter from Bloomington Indiana. We have previously covered two of Blind Uncle Harry’s songs, “Christmas Day in Australia” and “Dopesmokers of the World Unite and Take Over”, both of which are one of a kind listening experiences. Today we take a dive into another single from Blind Uncle Harry, “Song For Kori”.

Unapologetically folksy, “Song For Kori” comes in at five minutes and twelve seconds, telling the tale of a man and his daughter, the titular Kori. Tackling the subject of healthcare and its ramifications on the American people, “Song For Kori” is a meaningful critique of something that many American families are faced with each year - and to some, has become normal; the father in this song is very sick and unable to work to provide for his family and, ultimately, is worth more to his family alive than dead. The way in which Blind Uncle Harry captures the complex emotions of such a tragic tale in this song is something magnificent - and tragic.

Blind Uncle Harry is back with another single set to tug at our heartstrings this month. ‘Song For Kori’ strays slightly from the self-defined ‘hillbilly hippie shreddin’ folk rock’ that he is best known for, but is still rooted in the folk foundations at the heart of his sound. This latest single comes off the back of his astonishing album ‘The Gospel according To Blind Uncle Harry’ from last year. One of my favourite soundtracks right now, this album consists of twelve tracks that ooze a sweet, soulful sound, all whilst making me ponder the nature of our constructed lives. Blind Uncle Harry had me singing along with glee whilst contemplate the structures that surround me. For me, that is a match made in heaven.

‘Song For Kori’ is a beautifully honest, open and emotional lament in the delicate form of an acoustic ballad. Blind Uncle Harry’s vocals stand front and centre with a powerful presence. With incredible intimacy, he tells the tale of a man and his daughter, Kori. The heartfelt beauty of this song lies in the unaffected nature of the production. The vocals have an unwavering vulnerable feel — no extravagant production, no unnatural elements, and, trust me, they aren’t needed. The refreshingly raw and natural recording of this track is what stopped me in my tracks. The repeating guitar pattern becomes a comforting melody, a heartbeat-like symbol that grounds us through the twisting tale sung above it. Marrying the tender guitar with the unfolding lyrical lines, Blind Uncle Harry allows moments for this heartbeat to diminish and to thrive, to grow fainter and to strengthen, pushing and pulling you through the heart-wrenching story of Kori being told. It’s this picturesque musicality that inaugurates Blind Uncle Harry as such an incredible storyteller. On the surface level, ‘Song For Kori’ is a tragic tale of father and daughter. On closer inspection, ‘Song For Kori’ is an acutely accurate depiction of the unjust and broken systems that are ruining lives in some of the richest nations out there. If being an artist truly is having something to say and saying it with style, then Blind Uncle Harry, in every dissection of the word, is an artist.

“Dopesmokers of the World Unite and Take Over” was inspired by the Beach Boys’ live jam recording of Barbara Ann, while apparently on acid, Dopesmokers of the World Unite and Take Over sounds like a bunch of stoners having one hell of a good time. Since most of the lyricism is direct in the way that listeners can relate to the composition quite easily and can be a great song a long while high. The soundscape of the track is perfectly synchronized with the background of Blind Uncle Harry’s flawless vocals.

Blind Uncle Harry goes for a playful sound on the freak folk of “Dopesmokers of the World Unite and Take Over”. Sung with the right degree of tongue in cheek, his work recalls a bit of David Peel & The Lower East Side’s “Have a Marijuana”. The same degree of joy from that 1968 album lives on with Blind Uncle Harry’s loopy take on folk rock. Everything here has a dazed, hazy quality to it befitting the sharp lyricism that comes on through. Layers are brought together but the whole of the piece has a surprising spaciousness to it. Unlike David Peel, Blind Uncle Harry’s voice has a warmer, more welcoming presence that draws equally from traditional folk as well as anti-folk.

The use of a wide swath of singers and the communal spirit feels absolutely awe-inspiring. He makes the whole of the piece feel so alive and teeming with a tremendous degree of energy. Everything about it seems to almost fall about in a way that feels absolutely celebratory. Such a wide range of instruments filter into and out of the mix it becomes quite stunning to behold in full. For the final stretch he lets the already loose arrangement become even looser as the whole of the song fades away in a delirious blurred beauty.

“Dopesmokers of the World Unite and Take Over” shows off the genteel nature of Blind Uncle Harry in how he taps into folk’s very rebellious roots.

His latest single “Dopesmokers of the World Unite and Take Over” is a prime example of this.

You have to admire Blind Uncle Harry‘s approach to first world problems. Whilst others are trying to find deft answers to delicate problems, are looking for ways to unify different sides, are looking for ways to understanding opposing arguments and attitudes, he advocates getting stoned. It’s as simple as that. And he isn’t even suggesting it in a constructive way, that dope brings people together. All he is saying is that if you get stoned you can’t be bothered to cause any trouble. It’s sort of anarchy without any of the effort.

Chris “Harry” Doran, known as Blind Uncle Harry, is a singer/songwriter from Bloomington Indiana. Borrowing his performing name from great his uncle Harry, Blind Uncle Harry and his band describe their music as “hillbilly hippie shreddin' folk rock” and they bring a one of a kind experience to each song and live show. Today we take a listen to Blind Uncle Harry’s track, “Christmas Day in Australia”.

“Christmas Day in Australia” features an airy and natural sounding soundscape, making it a truly pleasant song to listen to; the song opens with a didgeridoo which immediately caught my attention and helped set up the Australia-related themes. The track features male and female vocal harmonies that really take center stage in an attention catching way, powering the song’s heart. Lyrically, “Christmas Day in Australia” describes Christmas in Australia and at the surface, the track seems to be as light and airy as the instrumental, though there are multiple layers at play and the lyrics feature some heavier undertones. I really enjoyed the overall pleasant but bittersweet feeling this song left me with.

Blind Uncle Harry is the kind of music experience that you are not going to come across every day. It reminds me of a wonky, rootsy past, one resurrected from weed, wisdom and wide-eyed wonder, one that combines the most infectious sing-alongs with some deep and meaningful…occasionally deep and meaningless…themes, a bit like the way that Monty Python would bang on about Schopenhauer and then the next moment be hitting each other with fish! It is a place where cosmic country cool is soaked in a hippie hullabaloo and above all, where music is made for all the right reasons.

But Christmas Day in Australia is also loaded with reflection and melancholia, a message from the other side of the world, dealing with themes of loss and longing, of new beginnings and what might have been, of the demon drink… and being the world of Blind Uncle Harry, there is just enough room for a social side-swipe at those living more glamorous lives. It would be rude not to.

It’s an interesting change of direction, lyrically anyway, reminding us that even those who are reaching for the stars can still find themselves in the gutter, to totally mis-quote Oscar Wilde, that even when trying to fathom out the mysteries of the universe, a simple thing such as love can still be baffling. Poor Uncle Harry, if it helps, we’ve all been there.

“Christmas Day In Australia” is a brand new song and video from Blind Uncle Harry. Released just in time for the holiday season on November 19, 2020. Accompanied by a didgeridoo, a couple of guitars and minimal percussion Harry recounts the strange experience of being an American on the other side of the world at Christmas. That is the loose setting for three individual vignettes, each a variation on the theme. First we experience the general strangeness of being on the beach in the summer on Christmas day. In the second verse Harry recounts the lost love which drove him to drink.

For the final verse the songwriter paints a portrait of economic and social disparity. At a particularly poignant point in the song Harry subtly brings it back to Christmas when he points out that the rich folk, “got nuthin’ to give.” Finally Blind Uncle Harry guides us back to the beach where we watch the fireworks and contemplate all of the above.

Dec 3 2020

Known for his inventive charm and daring folk-rock revelry, singer and songwriter Chris ‘Harry’ Doran aka Blind Uncle Harry is back with a festive tune titled Christmas Day in Australia. The last time we visited his maestro was during the review of Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven back in April of 2020. Blind Uncle Harry’s creative charms seem to never end and just in time for holiday cheer, he makes another genius leap of melodic bliss with this Christmas release.

Christmas Day in Australia is not your typical season greeting. The song begins in complete unorthodox Xmas fashion with the brisk sounds of the Australian aboriginal instrument didgeridoo. This certainly sets a not of distinction for what is to follow. Blind Uncle Harry puts together a wonderful array of acoustic and tribal sounds at mid-tempo that breeds a living room experience. The atmosphere is further enhanced by Blind Uncle Harry’s campfire vocals, which certainly adds a tremendous amount of warmth to the production. Not only is Christmas Day In America an inventive effort, but for a wide majority of the population that has been locked away in 2020’s pandemic, it is a way to travel across the world and finally let go of all that is useless. Blind Uncle Harry concludes this holiday salute in the same manner that it began -with the didgeridoo, and that’s how it should be.

Nov 2020 Blind Uncle Harry’s new single “Christmas Day in Australia” is set to go down as a classic. The song paints a backdrop set on Christmas Day in Australia but absent of your typical shenanigans. Instead, it is a message from down under, dealing with themes of loss and longing, of new beginnings and what might have been.

Unlike a lot of similarly conceived concept songs, Christmas Day in Australia never devolves into self-indulgent themes that would only make sense to its composer. Instead, the story of our protagonist is designed around the antithesis of lust, and though there are moments in the album that get slightly off track from the main plot, the audience is never too far from Blind Uncle Harry’s reach.

We ask a lot of our musicians. We ask them to give us something to make us feel better when nothing will cure our depression. We ask that they serve as good role models for our children and educate them about what it means to feel something beyond what words are capable of expressing.

Music is, for anyone with any sort of depth in their soul, the most treasured art form that we have to share, and for those responsible for channeling it from whatever divine place it must come from, the pressures can become all-consuming. This is the story of “Christmas Day in Australia”, but it’s also the story of the musicians themselves.

Our featured single, ‘Christmas Day in Australia’ by Blind Uncle Harry, is out now and available on YouTube! The single lasts four minutes and twenty-eight seconds and sits at a steady 106bpm. The track commences with a twenty-one second instrumental introduction that combines a didgeridoo with an acoustic guitar progression; setting the tone for the instigation of the proceeding verse.

The vocal color is stylistic and authentic; seamlessly matching the flow of the instrumental accompaniment. The harmonized layering of the second vocal with the main hook adds a depth and richness to the overall sound without detracting from the memorable melody. The subtle inclusion of the slide riff provides the perfect amount of dynamic diversity as it compliments the foundational instrumental layers.

SKOPE MAGAZINE
https://skopemag.com/2020/12/03/blind-uncle-harry-in-the-holiday-spirit-with-christmas-day-in-australia

Chris ‘Harry’ Doran performs under the stage name Blind Uncle Harry, and “Christmas Day in Australia” is his new seasonal song. The track begins with the sound of a droning digeridoo, which gives way to acoustic guitar. Doran then begins singing the song, along with slide guitar accompaniment, in a distinctly Dylan-esque vocal tone.

Less than a minute in, Doran is joined by a harmonizing female vocalist. Lyrically, Doran contrasts the typical Christmas celebration with the way they do it in Australia. It’s Christmas day in Australia, and he’s out on the beach. The beach is not the usual locale we usually associate with Christmas. Rather, we picture snowy settings with icicles, snowmen and people all bundled up for a sleigh ride together. Beach parties and Christmas celebrations just don’t usually go together. Australia is different, though. Not only is Doran spending Christmas in Australia at the beach, but he’s sweating. This is a strikingly contrasting visual image.

As holiday songs go, this is a relatively somber take. The kids certainly won’t be singing it as a choir for winter celebrations. It is, instead, a biographical sketch that finds Blind Uncle Harry reflecting upon his unusual circumstances. Maybe he had hoped to be in a much more Christmas-y location during the holiday. There’s one popular Christmas song that states, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas/Everywhere I go.” There’s just so much emphasis put upon how the season looks to us. There are even particular colors, like red and green, that remind us of the holiday. There are decorations, lights, and special store displays. Blind Uncle Harry’s lyrics tell us that the world around him at this particular moment just doesn’t look like Christmas.

The singing matches the track’s disappointed mood. It’s sung with sadness and disappointment. The song goes on to tell us about a girl that’s left this guy, which has led to him drinking too much. These events add even more pain to this man’s circumstances.

One thing this song isn’t, is a travel pitch for Australia. Nothing about it makes you want to plan you next Christmas holiday in the land down under. More than that, you don’t want to be this guy. While most Christmas songs are upbeat recordings, not all are happy. “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and “If We Make It Through December” are just two examples of holiday songs that lead decidedly to the more negative end of the mood spectrum.

Maybe if this song was commissioned to Men At Work, it might have turned out happier. These were those hit-making, fun-loving Australians from the ‘80s. Blind Uncle Harry, though, is not in the mood to sing a rousing holiday bar song. This, while a different sort of Christmas song, is nevertheless an effective biographical tune. It’s not recommended for Christmas parties, but it may be fitting to sit and listen to alone if Christmas just didn’t go like you planned it. No, this song is not emblematic of how most Australians spend Christmas. It is how this guy experienced the holiday, though, and it’s as honest as it is sad.

December 2020 - It’s that magical time of the year once again! Although they love Christmas just like we do over there in Australia, the landscape is quite different. Forget snowy tops and winter sweaters, and welcome sunny days and walks along the beautiful Pacific shores. Blind Uncle Harry recently came up with a brand new single that highlights the Aussie Christmas spirit in style!

The song also comes with a matching music video, which perfectly captures the unique feel of the song and style. The track kicks off with a didgeridoo drone, as well as some beautiful percussion. However, the artist dives into a folky arrangement that reminds me of twee music, with some well-matched female vocal harmonies, and some bright acoustic guitars. One of the highlights of the songs is the beautiful slide guitar track. It has a very Hawaiian feel, reminiscent of classic artists like Johnny & Santo, and it plays along beautifully with the rhythm of the song.

**TRANSLATION VIA GOOGLE**
The Christmas season has found its harmony and despite all the restrictions, let's try to make the best of this time, at least the ones that make this commercial event of hypocrisy. Of course, the Christmas numbers are coming up again and I'm not just talking about the annoying Last Christmas from Wham! Because apart from this little number, there is also other music that is dedicated to the Christ Child and is at least audible in the musical aspect and regardless of the attitude towards Christmas is musically impeccable. One such example is the song Christmas Day In Australia by the folk rock musician Blind Uncle Harry, who lives in Illinois [Indiana].

Uncle Harry welcomes us with a Didjeridoo to his latest musical prank and presents a slightly country-heavy folk rock song, which once again captivates with musical skill and melodic harmony. Mainly from a bass drum beat, which drives the ensemble's harmonic melody sequence from guitar tracks, the drums are kept rather minimalist. The compositional and musical skills of Uncle Harry are once again perfectly staged here. With a harmonious and warm rhythm guitar, the instrumental consists of a driving aspect, which is complemented by the loving lead guitars. Purely from the compositional aspect, Blind Uncle Harry has done a decent job here again. However, this title does not sound like Christmas, if you expect a typical All I Want For Christmas Is You instrumentation, you will be disappointed. Rather, it is a happy and almost summery guitar number, which Uncle Harry and his enchanting singing partner lovingly sing. In terms of production, a song was created at Christmas Day In Australia that comes out of the boxes with warmth and unfolds its effect far away from any sterility.

Conclusion 8 out of 10: Excellent Christmas song, which is actually not that typical for Christmas and is characterized by a handmade singer & songwriter nature.

With “Christmas Day in Australia” Blind Uncle Harry crafts a unique perspective on the celebration of Christmas in a delightfully off-kilter sort of way.

Dec 2020 Blind Uncle Harry delivers a heartfelt piece of outsider pop with the gentle disposition of “Christmas Day in Australia”. Their charms are irresistible for they incorporate a whole slew of different genres into the mix. World music blends with their twee pop inclinations with tremendous ease. A wide variety of instruments too also helps to give the entirety of the piece a communal togetherness one that feels ever so vital and vibrant. Understated vocals further sell the loveliness of the work for it ensures a certain balance.

After a short yet playful introduction the track becomes a brilliant bit of energy. Lyrics are carefully chosen for maximum impact. Every single gesture feels considered. The usage of dual vocals feels refreshing for they play off each other’s strengths. Both however possess a certain degree of gentleness that is doubly refreshing. Featuring great love for their surroundings everything works as the guitars hold the groove, making it feel rather tight. Percussion takes a backseat as it all neatly comes together in a wonderful stream of consciousness, one that becomes nearly bursting with so much passion. Little details matter a lot as they describe the day to day in a way that draws from Lambchop’s quiet celebration of the ordinary in an intricate way.

BLIND UNCLE HARRY TAKES YOU TO “CHRISTMAS DAY IN AUSTRALIA”

Dec 7, 2020 As someone who spent half a year abroad in Australia I can personally attest that holidays feel weird there. What would normally be a snowy Christmas morning ends up being a 110° day spent BBQing. Blind Uncle Harry taps into that wild sensation with his version of a holiday hit, “Christmas Day In Australia.”

Blind Uncle Harry is the performing stage name for Bloomington Indiana singer-songwriter Chris ‘Harry’ Doran. He utilizes a rotating arrangement of band members to compliment each hilbilly shreddin’ folk rock number he creates. Known for telling a great tale and usually a damn catchy one, Blind Uncle Harry has pinned down a unique niche for himself.

“Christmas Day In Australia” proves to be just as unique as good ole Harry himself. You won’t hear about snow or hot chocolate in this Christmas jingle. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Harry paints a picture of a very sweaty, sad day on the beach.

This single certainly won’t get you in the spirit to deck any halls, so if you’re looking for jingle bells I suggest you seek elsewhere. Instead, Blind Uncle Harry has taken a more melancholy approach for this tune. Because let’s face it, not everyone has a great time during the Christmas season and this song is for them.

Down and defeated from a recent break-up that has tainted the already (apparently very) sweaty day, you can sense the disappointment throughout this track. Vocals are melancholic, Harry’s voice harmonizing agonizingly beautifully with a female vocalist. Despite bright and upbeat guitar, the song does translate the dread for holiday that is apparent throughout the lyrics.

It’s safe to say that you can never truly know what’s coming next from Blind Uncle Harry, and that’s part of the undeniable charm. Be sure not to miss out on what they come up with next.

Blind Uncle Harry is a singer/songwriter from Indiana whose stage name is a tribute to his great-uncle Harry who was a blind fiddle player. Harry and his band describe themselves as “hillbilly hippie shreddin’ folk-rock” folks, and this song definitely shows off the chill, bluegrass, hippie-esque formula that he seems to be known for.

This folksy untraditional Christmas song is the perfect heartfelt alternative to the customary holiday classics. The lyrics for “Christmas Day in Australia” are definitely unique, clever, and funny, while also political (The band briefly touches on issues of economic inequality in the song). I don’t know if all of Blind Uncle Harry’s songs are this hilarious or blunt, but I really enjoy this one. With a title like Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven I should have been able to guess that it was going to be something ridiculous, but I only woke up a little bit ago before starting this so my brain must not be at full capacity yet.

It’s a fairly straight-forward tack with the hyper-country sound to it. There’s a banjo being picked throughout, which oddly, I enjoy a great deal. Banjoes are very underrated instruments, in my opinion. That’s about it. There are really no other instruments used. I think this really adds an element of authenticity to the song. It may be a comedic track, but it’s one thing to just have silly lyrics, and another to dive headfirst into the atmosphere and really sell the goofiness of a song.

Blind Uncle Harry’s voice is fairly unique, playing up the stereotypes of what we think hillbillies sound like. The speed of his delivery makes it difficult to grasp every word that he sings throughout the song. But this means the song lends itself easily to repeat listens, each time gleaming something new from the lyrics. The length of the track is surprising to me as it doesn’t feel like it is five minutes.

I liked the layering of vocals throughout the track as well. It gives it this messy, spontaneous aesthetic that just makes you want to sing along. It sounds like it would be incredibly fun in a live setting. Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven is gives off the vibe of pub song, perfect for drunken singalongs. I love a good Irish pub type of song and it’s nice to hear a song that is in that vein but from a more, well, hillbilly point of view.

The song is fun, upbeat, and hilarious. It’s simple and easily accomplishes what it wants to say and do. Blind Uncle Harry, who for some reason I keep calling Henry, must have known he was on to something with this track. He comes off with the lyrics and tune in a way that it sounds like he is making up on the spot. The whole song is weird but enjoyable. For anybody who is looking to forget their worries, I would suggest listening to Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven. I have no doubt that it will make your cares disappear.

SHE-WOLF (GERMANY)
http://she-wolf.eu/kurios-blind-uncle-harry-bringt-uns-den-gospel-mit-hillbilly-hippie-haiku-heaven/

The Gospel According, in Ruhe an.

**TRANSLATION VIA GOOGLE**

In a very special way, the album The Gospel According To Blind Uncle Harry is a bizarre thing. The folk rock musician from Illinois released an album that, as the name suggests, deals with gospel. But this is not about church radio, but about folk rock. The whole opus was released on April 8th through the label Lumpen Records. The artful cover is a definite feast for the eyes and so we do not allow ourselves to be ragged and listen to the song Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven, highlighted from The Gospel According, in the spotlight.

Hillbilly hippie Haiku Heaven rings with an announcement and you are curious what will be waiting for you in a few seconds. In itself, not too much was promised here. With the inclusion of violin and cello, an absolute southern feeling is conveyed to the public. Unfortunately, the vocals are a bit too loud and drown out the vocals. If you listen to the song like this, you don't know whether the message conveyed is ironic and humorous or deadly serious. We start from the former and claim that Uncle Harry doesn't take himself too seriously. You can tell from the happy mood of the title. The instruments are of course mastered and present an interesting ensemble of instruments. Unfortunately, the whole thing could be interpreted lyrically a little negative and call SJW’s on the map, who will sharpen the knife. In and of itself, the happy tuning song makes conciliatory, is played talented and has a real charm from its sound. The production is truly the living room brand and yet the song can shine solely through its musical potential and the talent of the musicians in office here.

Conclusion 8 out of 10: are we not all gay, lesbian, pansexual, transgender, potsmoking, acid trippin…. Hippies? I think the sarcasm should be recognizable here. In itself, this is a good number that you should definitely listen to!
Blind Uncle Harrytag:blinduncleharry.com,2005:Post/71311662022-12-14T12:00:00-05:002023-01-01T16:40:00-05:00Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven Review by The Bandcamp Diaries
"One of the best things about this track is that it always keeps you on the edge of your seat, making you think of what these people might be saying next!"

Blind Uncle Harry - Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven

April 2020 - Blind Uncle Harry came back on the scene with a new single titled “Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven.” The track has a diverse production, which sets the bar higher in terms of music production and aesthetics.
April 2020 Rustic vibes run through Blind Uncle Harry’s joyous “Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven”. Going for something with true grit and soul, the way they let their energy pour out feels so satisfying. Everything about it recalls Henry Flynt’s incredible celebratory work. From the fiddles to their eager singing, there is a welcoming presence about the piece. They simply burst forth with so much love that it becomes impossible to resist their charms. Instrumentally vibrant they incorporate so much color into the mix. Best of all though are those unfettered vocals that ring proud and true. Volume is a must for this is a piece that yearns to be felt.

After a short introduction, they establish the groove quite quickly. Pretty much they start things up with glorious fingerpicking guitar work. From there they let the rest of it rely upon the sheer playfulness of the lyrics. The mixture of storytelling and surrealism works wonders for the mix as they let things unfurl. By bringing together multiple vocalists they make sure to give it a living, breathing quality to it. Hypnotic with its mantra the way the song’s cyclical nature works in its favor feels life-affirming. Not a moment is wasted either as they take on a great deal of different sonic detours. Every moment goes right for the heart of the moment of things as it soars up into the sky.

Sung with honesty and integrity, Blind Uncle Harry creates a communal presence on the infectious “Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven”.

Yes.

Once again. Slowly.

“Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven”

It’s from the album The Gospel According to Blind Uncle Harry.

But what does it taste like?

Yes.

I see that smile.

That, ok, I’m down with it. I’m in. Might as well. How did you know. Little bit of everysoul.

The rest of it looks like this (yes, thee’s more)

Unboxed, untamed, unstyled, and unsettled there’s nothing uncoordinated about this Haiku. (Expect for being the longest Haiku ever written). Even that explains the rule breaking, hands waving, unapologetic blast of living life off the cuff. True to the cord.

May 2020 Blind Uncle Harry is back on the scene with a distinctive studio album titled “The Gospel According to Blind Uncle Harry.” The release blurs the lines between blues, Americana, gospel, and folk, going for a diverse approach. This has traditional elements in it, but it also quite innovative, especially when it comes to creating upbeat melodic textures, at times reminiscent of indie-folk acts such as Bright Eyes or The Tallest Man on Earth.

The beautiful opening track, “Long Lonesome Tune” is actually a great example of what I am talking about. In addition to that, “Sunny Afternoon” is perhaps one of my favorite tracks on the album, due to its care-free arrangement and personal vocals. This track has a 70s vibe, but it also reminds me of some 60s alt-folk music, such as earlier Bob Dylan. “It’s All Fucked” goes for a country blues vibe, and it goes for a earnest, upfront feel!

It is often the case that you can listen to a release from a forthcoming album and that song acts as a sort of sonic roadmap, a stylistic signpost as to what the fully formed beast is going to be all about. What was great about Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven was that after experiencing its eclectic, energetic, euphoric, philosophical funning and punning you just thought, “well, god only knows what they will get up to next.” It made you, if anything, less sure as to what to expect from them next yet more determined than ever to be there when it happened.

The Gospel According to Blind Uncle Harry is a strange blend of blistering, bluegrass musicianship, hippy vibes, strange pseudo-intellectualism, summer of love sentiments and raggedy folk jams. And if all that sounds a bit of a mess then you need to loosen up a bit, you need to dump all of those over-produced pop records and silly TV talent show notions and remember that music is something that happens in the moment, a collision of ideas, the sound of the one part of the universe harmonising with itself, humanity howling at the moons.

Review by Gary Hill

This is a very strange set. Look at the cover to the disc, and scan the titles to the songs. Both of those things really fit this disc. The music here is essentially bluegrass, but it's very tongue-in-cheek and it presents a dichotomy. First, the musicianship is actually strong, but the music (and particularly the vocals) at times have a loose grasp of being on key with each other. Given the skill level conveyed, and the odd humor of many of the lyrics, I have to assume that's artistic choice. Besides, it's not all that unusual for the type of music this is emulating. This is like bluegrass music that seems meant to make fun of bluegrass music, both lyrically and musically. Yet, the talent still shines through. In a lot of ways this more quirky alternative rock music than it is bluegrass in terms of mindset. Yet, the music is all bluegrass, country and folk. However you see this, it's designed for a specific audience, and likely to turn off a lot of other people. It's important to note that there are frequent parental advisories for the lyrics.

Track by Track Review

Long Lonesome Tune
Old school bluegrass is on the menu here. Other than the recording quality, this really feels like something that could have been recorded in the 1920s. There are both male and female voices here, and traditional bluegrass instrumentation guides the music of the piece.

D Chord Hammer Ditty
Closer to folk music, this still has a lot of country and bluegrass built into it. I have to say that I'm not a fan of this song, either from a musical or lyrical point of view. I'd consider this the "pass it up" song of the set, but your mileage may vary.

Cry Me a Rainbow
The folk concepts are pretty dominant here. The male vocal on the piece calls to mind Bob Dylan a bit. The arrangement has a lot going on. It has a tendency to be a bit too busy in some ways.

Song For The Revolution
Bluegrass and folk music merge on this down-home number. This is one of the more successful pieces of the set.

Uh Oh (Sounds Like Somebody P***ed Off Jesus)
More than the first minute of this is acapella. Then the whole group join in on the chorus, which is mostly the parenthetical of the title. This cut is really bizarre, but in a good way. It's sure to offend some people.

Savannah Kentuckiana
The bluegrass concepts on this are fun. This is one of the stronger pieces here. In some ways I think I'd describe this is a "hoe-down Camper Van Beethoven." I love the redneck guitar solo.

Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven
Fast-paced bluegrass is the order of business here. This number is silly, in a good way. It's a fun tune.

Strip Mining My Heart
A much mellower piece, this has some intricate instrumental work. It also has a very down-home feeling to it. I particularly like the violin (or should I say "fiddle?") on it.

Emma Lynn
Slower moving and less powered up than some of the music here, this is an intriguing cut. It is essentially a ballad.

Sunny Afternoon
This number earns a parental advisory. There is an odd silliness to the tune, although it's also rather serious. Folk and bluegrass merge on the number.

Indiana
The jus harp is a nice touch. The down-home vibe on this is a lot of fun. I'd consider this piece to be a highlight of the set. This does get a bit of a parental advisory, too. The section on "sundown towns" is likely to offend based on some of the lyrics, but honestly, the tune is sure to offend a lot of people, and it's all meant to make fun of the people who use those terms in real life.

It's All F***ed
I guess I don't need to tell you that this track earns a parental advisory, right? This has more of the down-home sound we've come to expect here. The lyrics are actually pretty funny, and a real juxtaposition to the music. There is a little studio chatter at the end of this piece.

This latest single [Song For Kori] comes off the back of his astonishing album ‘The Gospel according To Blind Uncle Harry’ from last year. One of my favourite soundtracks right now, this album consists of twelve tracks that ooze a sweet, soulful sound, all whilst making me ponder the nature of our constructed lives. Blind Uncle Harry had me singing along with glee whilst contemplating the structures that surround me. For me, that is a match made in heaven.

Singer-Songwriter, Blind Uncle Harry's alt country album, "The Gospel According to Blind Uncle Harry," is quickly gaining rotation on college and community radio stations across the United States. At a time when even the COVID-19 pandemic is being politicized, the album's sexy bluegrass instrumentation, catchy vocals and sweet harmonies provide some musical mental relief to our nation's chaos.

Harry's wittiness is a joy. He makes fun of pretty much everything mainstream American -- from the work ethic to all things conservative christian. Yet it still manages to be laugh out loud funny, especially Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven, D Chord Hammer Ditty, Uh Oh (Sounds Like Somebody Pissed Off Jesus), Indiana, and It's All Fucked.

The Bloomington, Indiana crooner was born Chris 'Harry' Doran. The name Blind Uncle Harry came from his actual great Uncle Harry, who was indeed blind. He was a fiddle player and sparked a life long appreciation of the power of one man and an instrument.

My favorite track on the album is Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven. The song plays on the strings of classic Americana music, with the finesse of folk, country, blues, and rock. The lyrics are truly American as well, making light of all of the modern partisan hot button issues.

Some call Blind Uncle Harry the "king of the sing along," and the album has plenty of opportunities for you to sing til your quarantined neighbors bang at your door, with live show audience participation favorites Cry Me a Rainbow, Song for the Revolution, and Savannah Kentuckiana included. And of course it wouldn't be Blind Uncle Harry without a healthy dose of twisted love gone wrong songs (Emma Lynn, Long Lonesome Tune, Strip Mining My Heart, Sunny Afternoon) that only he could come up with. The album features instrumentation by Blind Uncle Harry regulars The Wonderhills, but it’s the gorgeous harmonies of Harry, Shelby Jo Everett, and Alexandra Burgan will be what you remember. It was primarily recorded at Tecumseh House studios in Harry's 130 year old house, with mixing and mastering at Bloomington's Blockhouse Studios with the superb Andy Beargie.

4.1/ 5: Top Album

"The cocktail of emotions for one were incredible. It’s an album that is tender, warm, earnest, heartfelt and so clever and funny. ...Take for instance “D Chord Hammer Ditty” which was just genius. On top of that the instrumentations and vocals are glorious. ...There are so many other great songs that combine fantastic wordplay and creative music. ...As the album progresses the band just crushed."

"I rarely find music that can feel this emotional yet not overly heavy. The balancing act of humor along with the more familiar emotions you hear on records rarely sounds this good. Highly recommended."
Blind Uncle Harrytag:blinduncleharry.com,2005:Post/71312172022-12-13T15:00:00-05:002023-01-01T15:27:34-05:00Take Effect Reviews The Gospel According to Blind Uncle Harry (album)
"the songwriter sure has a way with words on this clever, sometimes comical, and other times political record that all fans of Billy Bragg should familiarize themselves with."

The Gospel According To Blind Uncle Harry

Self-Released, 2020

8/10

A Bloomington, Indiana native with a penchant for sing-alongs and political wordplay in his alt-country and protest folk songs, Blind Uncle Harry delivers a charming batch of playful storytelling that’s not short on harmonies and bluegrass nods, too.

“Long Lonesome Tune” opens up the album with harmonica and violin before dual gender vocals enter the folksy, jam band fun, and “D Chord Hammer Ditty” follows with a trio of singers and upright bass highlighting the dreamy setting.

Near the middle, “Uh Oh (Sounds Like Somebody Pissed Off Jesus)” starts a cappella before a busy display of quirky Americana enters, while “Savannah Kentuckiana”, one of the album’s best, recruits complementary female vocals from Shelby Jo Everett in the ultra melodic country influenced tune.

Further on, “Emma Lynn” moves soft and agile with just an acoustic guitar and violin to accompany the breezy setting, and “Sunny Afternoon” unfolds like a campfire-esque anthem that you won’t forget anytime soon. “It’s All Fucked (Not Your Fault)” finishes the listen with his own brand of gospel that makes great use of a dobro on his commentary of the grim status quo.

Harry is actually Chris Doran, although he had an uncle named Harry who was blind and a musician, and the songwriter sure has a way with words on this clever, sometimes comical, and other times political record that all fans of Billy Bragg should familiarize themselves with.

A warm communal spirit runs through Blind Uncle Harry’s strangely inspirational “The Gospel According to Blind Uncle Harry”. The ancient rhythms and sounds of the album feel so welcoming as if they had always existed. Group play simply stuns for they all listen to each other giving plenty of space for the sounds to spread. Careful melodies recall a little bit of the weird folk movement in how it celebrated the past by putting its own spin on it. Forgoing the electric works wonders as well for it gives the atmosphere a rustic charm.

“Long Lonesome Tune” sets the tone for the album featuring a blissful jaunty tempo. Going for a childlike sense of wonder is “Cry Me A Rainbow” whose inclusion of so much color feels profound. On “Song For The Revolution” they offer a different view of the sadness that consumer culture inevitably brings people. The delightful ramshackle of “Savannah Kentuckiana” explores the happiness that comes from truly embracing rural America. Incredible strings dominate the lovely “Strip Mining My Heart”. Quiet with a bit of reflection is “Sunny Afternoon”. Bringing things to a fantastic conclusion is the weirdness of the ode “It’s All Fucked”.

“The Gospel According to Blind Uncle Harry” proves to be a delightful trip, one where Blind Uncle Harry draws from past originators of the sound of Americana like John Fahey to the more recent musings of Joanna Newsom.

RJ Frometa May 26, 2020

Hi Harry, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Great! Thanks for having me!

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven”? Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

I grew up in Ft Wayne Indiana, a very conservative place known as the city of churches. From about the age of five I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there- it’s the “armpit of the christian right” in the song. In contrast Bloomington is an oasis of tolerance and acceptance, and as soon as I moved there to go to college “I knew that I was gonna be all right”. I tried to list everything that the people I grew up with were against, and that I was for while still being funny.

How was the filming process and experience behind the video?

It was so much fun! We had a blast! The cue card opening was filmed in an alley just off the square in Bloomington and was (obviously) a take on Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues. The convertible dance sequence was in my beloved beat up old Chrysler Sebring, and most of the other scenes like the kitchen hoedown were at Tecumseh House (my place), aka Blind Uncle Harry HQ. Apart from editing, I didn’t spend anything to make it.

The single comes off your new album The Gospel According To Blind Uncle Harry – what’s the story behind the title?

Ha! Great question! I take on a mock preacher persona when I play live, and exhort the crowd to bathe in the redemptive power of rock and roll to cure whatever’s ailing them. It’s very gratifying to have the crowd respond to “Can I get an amen! Can I get a hallelujah!” after I’ve just bashed the shit out of mainstream American values.

How was the recording and writing process?

I’m truly blessed to have so many great musicians to work with. We spent a lot of time on the harmonies and vocal hooks. Most of the songs had already been honed playing live, especially the bluegrass tunes, and most of the album was recorded live at Tecumseh House.

What role does Bloomington play in your music?

I’d written a few songs but was way too insecure to perform live. When I moved back to Bloomington a few years ago, it was like heaven- a musical community that was not only tolerant, welcoming and inclusive, but also openly embraced me. Hillbilly Hippie Haiku Heaven is my love song to Bloomington.

What aspect of politics and religion did you get to explore on this record?

Obviously I’m not a fan, to put it mildly, of conservative christian America. And while I really don’t give a shit if I offend someone, I still have an obligation as an artist to get my message across. I do my best to use humor to accomplish that. I’ve gotten some good ol’ boy rednecks to crack up to ‘Uh Oh- Sounds like Somebody Pissed Off Jesus’, and especially ‘Indiana’: “Of all the 50 states/ We’re the one that always rates/ Dumbest fattest and least likely to fornicate”. I’ve also had some threaten to beat the shit out of me.

Where else did you find the inspiration for the songs and lyrics?

Well, the love gone wrong songs were alas based on personal experience. Like ‘Emma Lynn’: “She said to please, please take of yourself/ She said to go be beautiful/ But for someone else.” ‘Strip mining My Heart’ was written by my brother Rick, who we lost tragically a few years back. So there’s some heartache and sorrow mixed in there.

Any plans to hit the road?

I’m so itching to hit the road! I spent all winter converting a school bus into a touring machine, and am now stuck because of the Covid 19 pandemic. Which is a small price to pay compared to all the people dying.

What else is happening next in Blind Uncle Harry’s world?

I’ve got two new finished albums, Courage to Love and Meth Bible Camp road, that we will be releasing over the coming year. Stay tuned!
